CZ will introduce the CZ 589 Stopper at the 2001 SHOT Show in New Orleans, Louisiana in January.
CZ is known for Safari Magnum rifles world over. The CZ 589 Stopper is an over/under double rifle in .485 Winchester Magnum that may well be the Quintessential Dangerous game gun.
The CZ 589 Stopper is built on a Kersten style action and features a Blitz type double trigger mechanism.
The Stopper comes standard with: fixed iron sights regulated for 50 meters, hammer forged barrels, satin nickel finish on the action with a modest amount of engraving to compliment the blued barrels and Turkish walnut stock.
The Suggested retail price for the CZ 589 Stopper is $2999.00 for standard grade and $3999.00 for the fully engraved version.
